What Did You Just Buy Tickets To?

Yes, please, thank you; specificity is key!  I will take your posts as being literal.
Man I find it hard to relate to people who can't appreciate a good magazine….or newspaper or book as a tangible physical item.. there is something to the experience be it tactile/sensory that is different from processing information in a physical format as with a computer etc.. but to each their own.. glad I got to grow up enjoying a newspaper…reading a real book.. .the experience of reading on a kindle may be convenient but is so banal and non descript.. give a first edition hardcover book any day…

of course electronic media has its uses and advantages too.. glad my kids will not have to haul a backpack full of heavy textbooks around, etc..
^ Mojo is chock full of info that I like to peruse at my leisure, nothing that is necessary to know instantly…. tons of new album reviews, decent articles, etc, it's a great resource, so I'm happy to have it in magazine form…..

Nice!  I also got tickets to both of these.
Nice! See you there! I went to Tobacco at U Hall on Saturday and stopped by the 9:30 Box office and picked them up. I think the service charge would have been 9 bucks each online vs a dollar each at the window.
how was Tobacco?

gotta be a business model in there…especialy if you live close to the club

say you could charge $5 per ticket and you would make money and the buyer would save money
not sure, but would that be a reversescalp?

He played several new tracks from some future release and they sounded good. There were lots of Ultima II Massage songs mixed in but not a whole lot from Maniac Meat and perhaps nothing from Fucked Up Friends. The set flowed very well and the crowd ate it up. The dancing turned into moshing a few times. They had a gong which had projections showing on it and occasionally it would get banged to which the crowd would roar. They encored with BMSR's classic "Sun Lips" for some reason. U Hall only let him have an hour to make way for whatever DJ set would come after. Same as last time I saw him there. It was a fun, albeit short, time. I recommend seeing Tobacco or BMSR live to anyone.

Oops, I totally forgot to flash my FWB card at the 9:30 box office. Does that thing work at U Hall too?

although…they've kinda went dark on me as I said I'd be there for my birthday cupcake and still haven't gotten a response

yep, since they don't appear to be coming to DC I thought I would make the trek up. Embarrassingly enough I've lived in DC for 18 years now and have never been to Philly.

I have lived in the DC area since 2002, and while I DO go to Philly (at least 5 times a year), I have never been to NYC, nor do I ever plan on it (I drove through part of it to get to Connecticut once, but I do not think that counts)…

That is a very odd statement
it's objectively the center of the universe…just sayin
Why is that odd?  Not everybody is obsessed with that city.

Edit: I do not mean to imply that I will NEVER go to NYC for anything, I just do not really have any desire to go to NYC for anything.
