What Did You Just Buy Tickets To?

not Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors….
was on there with 2 computers at noon…started getting times, but when I clicked it said it was sold out
didn't even hit 12:02 and was sold out!

if anyone has any info how to land even a mid week passes…please share
does anyone know more about this? limited number of same-day Walk-Up Timed Passes will be available at the Museum daily.

I went last Thursday. It was a little rainy that morning. Got in line at 7:30am and got a ticket for 10:30am at 10:00am. Line gets long FAST. You don't know what time you'll get, and they don't know what they will have tickets for until the line opens at 10. It's all very well organized. There are chairs if you get there early enough, a coffee truck, and restrooms outside.

I've been twice. Paid for the Kusama Circle and last Thursday. It's worth it.

When you get into the exhibit, go to both of the light ones first. Those lines get long very quickly. I would recommend going through each room twice, once for experience and once if you want a picture. Easier to do in the morning than the afternoon.

Her paintings are also incredible. I liked them as much as the rooms.
and you can no longer take pictures in the pumpkin room, just so you know.

yikes…you waited from 7:30 AM until 10AM before you even knew if you were getting a ticket!
would they give you a later time (like 3:30) if you asked

Yes. To be fair, for some reason I thought they handed out tickets at 8:30am. BUT, glad I got there at 7;30 as by 9:00 the line was really long. I had a friend the week before who had gotten into the line at 8 and got tickets for 1:30 at 11am. And I knew that the later time you went in, the longer you wait for the rooms. So, just wanted to wait on the front end of things.

You can get tickets for whatever time you want, as long as that entry time is available. Be aware that you'll wait to get into the exhibit and then each of the rooms. Honestly I would recommend trying to get in as close to opening as possible.
I took a look at the Livenation summer kick off discount thing.

I picked up Primus w/ Clutch in Philly at the Festival Pier.

Also got Deep Purple w/ Alice Cooper & Edgar Winter at JLL.

20 bucks flat for each. The Primus gig is GA I think too. All these old rockers are going the way of the dodo and I was raised on Deep Purple so I better seem them before another one bites the dust. I really liked Jon Lord….I would love if Richie Blackmore was still in the band but whatcha gonna do.
my partner is so funny.  the other day, he comes fuming up to me, pointing at his ipad.  "did you see the prices of these tickets?  Over $150 each for good seats for Cyndi Lauper with Rod Stewart!  It would be $1000 for us to go see Adam Lambert and Queen!"

oh . . . gay guys, and their musical tastes.
I think Adam Lambert /Queen is available for $20 all in… probably nosebleeds…still with the $1960 you guys will save you can fly to Paris for the weekend…
deep purple, alice cooper,  edgar winter - da lube.

Unless you get in at 10:00 I don't think there is really a great way to experience the Kusama thing.  I've been twice (different sets if visitors in town), and definitely waited longer inside when I entered at 10:45 than I did at 4:45.  I actually think end of the day might be the best way to go.

Thanks for the posts about this.  Had no idea this show was on the iist. Dragging the wifey to this one.

I still don't see it on the list. Makes me wonder what else is available.
it's not part of the live nation promo…

Is this another mass-promo or just this show?
GBV at Ottobar
gbv, ottobar
sweet and keene, rams head annapolis
evan hansen, music box
I saw Tommy Keene years ago as opener at Rams Head.  He had just opened for Replacements as a solo acoustic act.  I was expecting solo acoustic at Rams Head show as well.  He showed up there full band and it was by far loudest show ever at Rams Head Annapolis…(I had stage front tix) and it surely contributed to my present day tinnitus.

Sorry I haven't been able to see him on his recent stint due to my schedule conflicts .

Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile in Philly.  Not sure how this one didn't get a DC stop (especially since they are playing the Empty Bottle in Chicago!)

considering the multiple day gap in the tour, I'm sure it will.
