Jealous. My husband will not go for the 13 game plan because he doesn't want "set games". But, we go to more games than that! Maybe next year…

They allow you to switch tickets to other games. And any additional tickets you buy are at season ticket price. Good deal if you want to see yankees or red sox. And for 8 bucks a game you can park in lot between the stadiums. It also allowed me to get opening day tickets. So I think it is a pretty good deal. Of course my usual strategy of buying the cheapest tickets in the stadium and moving down to the lower boxes is probably a better deal.

For anyone 30 or younger, the Kennedy Center has a program called MyTix (http://kennedycenter.com/offers/mytix/) that offers discounted tickets to some shows.

I get all mine from Obama
the Sonics and Rye Coalition in NYC.
I saw the Rye Coalition play an opening set for someone or other at the BC about 6 or 7 years ago and they absolutely tore the place apart. It was amazing. I was bummed to see they'd broken up or were on hiatus or whatever. Hope this means they might get the show back on the road.
paid the most I've ever paid for concert tickets for the Clapton Crossroads Festival.

I've seen Rye Coalition 5 times– with Trans Am (Black Cat 12/2001), with the Early Humans (Black Cat Backstage 02/2002), with Macitajs on Acid and Golden (Black Cat 08/2002), and with the Kinison (Black Cat 09/2004), plus part of a big festival with Shellac et al. in NJ in 2000. That Backstage show was by far the best– awesome night, and I've got a couple of great photos from that show (like this one). Can't believe it's been 9 years since I last saw them– they've been on a weird hiatus for a while; many of their members (except Ralph Cuseglio and Dave Leto the drummer) are now in the Black Hollies (whom I've never seen). I think they do sort of one-off shows here and there– this one is a benefit for Norton Records (disclaimer: my brother put this show together).
