Live in the Age of Covid19

zoom outage = the new snow day
The dissonance between "how much do I like this artist's output" and "is this artist a fucking idiot moron poop for brains garbage person" is wider with Van Morrison than almost anyone else I can think of.
I have trouble even listening to his music anymore

He is one sick and twisted fuck

Not a huge Van-Fan….but, I would thank the 18 yr old Van for writing Gloria.

The covers of that song are just legendary, might I even say transcendent
So do you do a bunch of molly and listen from your laptop speakers while your little brother turns the lights on and off?

quite a line up tho…

what is the appeal?

i've listened in on a few online DJ sets that were part of an "online festival".  essentially it's a listening party with running commentary.  interesting for the anoraks, or if you want some background untz.  one DJ i was listening to admitted in the chat that he was holding back on what he was spinning, because he didn't want his unreleased stuff recorded off the stream… yet another way it was a limited experience.
I enjoyed the Phoebe Bridgers Red Rocks livestream last night, which was free.
I also enjoyed the Avett Brothers livestream over the weekend, which was not free.

Montgomery County, Maryland, is going to allow some outdoor music performances. Venues must submit social distancing plans to the local government ahead of time and follow capacity limits.
Just watching the encores for this but looks a solid well filmed Paul Weller show from the Sydney Opera House in 2018.

I see several Jam and Style Council songs in the setlist.  Same tour that went through Lincoln last time…

I’m in for a thousand for a crowdsourced, backyard Dino Jr concert.
Will need a few more 1,000+ donors for that. Plenty of space tho.
neighbors won't be too happy with the volume levels…
