but what did the info say? Where and when is one supposd to go for the VIP tour?
Weird…just got a retraction to the retraction!

Hutch, here's the info:

Yes, this is probably the third email that you've received, but this is the real deal, and we can't wait to see you.

We're just giving you a heads up about tomorrow's backstage tours. Check-in is located in West Plaza, with tours every 20 Minutes, starting a noon, and ending at 6pm.

Bring a printed copy of this email along with a picture ID to retrieve your voucher. Please note that only ticketholders, not guests, will be permitted on the tour.

Double post
thanks nkotb..thats very helpful info
I'm in the pit right now and the bouncers are telling people that they are clearing out the pit after each set: does anyone know anything about this? There's a number of lcdss fans who got here crazy early that are not pleased
im on the pit now too if you see josh, make sure you say mr bouncer is.it true about clearing the pit
Here. There is mall parking, but it's controlled - police tell you where you can park (I.e not just anywhere around the mall).

I'm ok with pit clearing… Works at bonnaroo!

These light bright folks: getting better… But not my thing. Off to
TT.
Don't know if there are any other logistics involved but the pit clearing sounds like a fair way of trying to give everyone a chance at some pit time.

A little late now, but you should have set maybe 3 or 4 different likely meet-up times to accommadate various tastes in schedules and allowing for the rejoining of the group. Guess if you guys are texting, browsing, tweeting, whatever; you can still do so.

Have fun y'all! I'm going to the pool.  8)
yup pit cleared not too bad
What's the situation for getting back into the pit after it's cleared?  And anyone (sweetcell?) that bought the 52% ticket…how did that work out?

Probably leaving within the next hour or so.  I'm wearing a white Deerhoof shirt, so feel free to say hi.  Kosmo, I'll get in touch with you when i get there and get settled (translation: beers).

Currently @ JeW, center pav barely occupied.

Knotb: you exchange your ticket for a bracelet. They're strictly enforcing 'em.

I haven't tried gettitng in to the pit, so no info there.

I thought that TT was effen great. The last 5 songs were epic.
just saw jEw awesome pit
incident in pit fan unruly with josh
maybe see mia instead lcd with line getting worse for pit
Just got back a little bit a go. I only saw Jimmy Eat World, Trombone Shorty, and Edward Sharpe as I have prior commitments tonight. I really like the atmosphere and set up of the festival. It was a gorgeous day out too.

Man, Edward Sharpe needs a good punch in the face. The whole drugged out messiah thing gets boring after a few songs.

Thanks to all those that make this festival happen! I can't wait for next year.
tc was great, so is luda.

Unannounced changed of rules: $60/$65 GA Pavilion are no longer General Admission.  Only $125 let down to first 16 rows or pavilion. $60 are limited to rows 17+.

Seth: didn't you say $60 had same pavilion rights as VIP?  "52% off" is sounding more and more suspect (although in the organizer's defense, apparently the decision to change pav access was made by virgin mobile. I'm not saying it's inherently wrong… I'm just saying it's wromg to spring this as a surprise, after we've paid. It's called managing expectations.
joe was right with pavement playing a whole set or they were close to it
i met mr lily in silver spring and we drove up to MPP without any traffic in less than 30 minutes and parked right at MPP with no problem.

we did west stage only today:

temper trap
trombone shorty
yeasayers
thievery corporation

i'd be curious to check temper trap out again-don't see the u2 influence, but definitely see the radiohead influence. i'm on the fence with yeasayers. i liked the stuff that reminded me of fleetwood mac and fleet foxes, but other stuff just bored me.

trombone shorty was great as usual. too bad the crowd didn't have a clue.

the sound for thievery corporation was the best i've heard in a few years from them. seriously. the bass wasn't drowning and the lyrics were not muddled with all the instruments. it was great to actually hear every single enunciation from loulou and sistah pat.

seth-thanks for a great afternoon and i look forward to 2011. everything was really well run. i really appreciate that you allow concert goers to bring in bottled water and provided faucets with cold water for refills.
