Virgin Free Fest returning to Merriweather

Awesome.  Can't wait!
Oh happy happy happy birthday to meeeeeeeee! :D
It's our 10 year anniversary :)

Hopefully us friends with benefits peeps will just get tickets because we're awesome?
vampire weekend!  ;D
My wife is out of town and pretty sure my six year old (who was more mature than at least 70% of the people there last year) doesn't want to go back, so looks like I'm out.

Vampire Weekend would be the first decent band in several years.
yeah i'm going camping that weekend, so i'm probably out - unless the lineup is amazing or something
Damnit, same day as Maryland vs West Virginia at M&T Bank Stadium. Here's hoping for an early kickoff so I can still see Vampire Weekend.
I'm guessing Vampire Weekend is a pretty safe bet. Fits right into their tour. I think that's a done deal. Chvrches too.

Judging from other tours/festivals happening around the same time, I'd say it's possible for the Pixies or the Replacements to be on the bill. Maybe Iggy and the Stooges, The Hold Steady, Passion Pit, the Walkmen.

As far as other bands to fill in the day, there are a ton on tour but they're all booked for other gigs. So no Yeah Yeah Yeahs, no Weezer, no Rancid, no Jane's Addiction, no Blink 182. I'm bummed that QOTSA and the Arctic Monkeys are definitely out. At this rate, I doubt DC even gets a date from Queens this year. They're pretty focused on touring Europe and other cities they either haven't done or been to in a long time. Though they haven't been here in 8 years, so I guess we'd qualify.
QOTSA definitely out for that date?  Bummer.

They're in Atlanta with the Arctic Monkeys and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Such terrible, terrible news. I honestly might go down to ATL for that instead and make a weekend of it.

+ QOTSA + Weezer + Kendrick Lamar + Arctic Monkeys + Black Keys + Reignwolf > anything FreeFest can book. I love me FreeFest, but there's so much more I'm probably going to want to see in ATL.
Well, looks like I don't have to worry about Freefest then.  So, that's good.
I'm still hangin on for Neutral Milk Hotel.

I think the odds are close to zero on that one.  Didn't you get tickets to their  Baltimore show?
No!  You have an extra?
