70 to 80 percent chance of rain pretty much the whole time Freefest is happening?
Virgin Free Fest returning to Merriweather
Little Green Cars were just the best, much more electric and raw than the record. Those five part harmonies fully in tact.

Enjoyed Washed Out, the band. Washed out, the festival on the other hand…..

By far my biggest regret for not making it out to MPP today. BJL better play 930 next tour
Well I had a great time when I was the festival, ended up leaving after City and Colour due to rain and already not feeling that great. Both bands I really wanted to see were fantastic and would gladly see them again live. Still buzzin' about how great Little Green Cars were.
How bad did it rain up there? How was the whole thing? Did everyone love Chvrches?
;D
;D
When I left it was a slow cold steady rain, most were managing with umbrellas. Not sure if it picked up later in the evening.
Had a fun day at the festival.
Saw Chvurches and enjoyed that a lot.
Saw a few minutes of Icona Pop: didn't like;
Ate a grilled cheese: liked a lot;
went into the pavilion for the rest of the day and saw City and Colour: was pleasant but not engaging?; Then MGMT who had technical problems (with their monitors?) that seemed to bum them out: their video/graphics were (to me) more engaging than their music (especially the shrimp-headed umbrella topped hermaphroditic creatures);
then Avett Brothers: really enjoyed every aspect of that show.
Left at that point and was back to DC in around 45 minutes despite a deluge of rain the entire way. To me this year seemed much better attended than last year, and much younger crowd.
Thanks to all of the MPP and IMPsters for a great event.
