how's this venue?  it's only a few block from my uncle's place, so if nothing else, it's mighty convenient!
so jealous of TDS from front to back.

That's the first time they've played "a warm place" live.
not only that, supposedly the band only had one day to rehearse this set - including learning "a warm place" and re-learning several songs they haven't played in years (or some members, ever).

if you want to feed your jealousy, check out the NIN forum page for this show (http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?21,827839).  sounds like it really was a once-in-a-lifetime type of show, people were crying, etc…

LiveNation didn't allow the band to film in high-def.  thanks, LN.
joe, no comments/reviews/omgs/mehs on NIN @ webster?  nothing?

lots of boots available, especially on demonoid.  check out the NIN.com forum thread in my previous post, it has several links to torrents.
Fantastic show, though I prefer the stage setup from last tour with all the pretty lights instead of strobe lights…

Hearing RUINER was the highlight for me…but also Big Man with a Gun and A Warm Place…!

Also glad to see Trent up close playing the keyboard and electronics. He used some instrument in the beginning of Eraser (looked like a mouthpiece or something…not sure what it's called).

It was a sauna in there, but I liked Webster Hall…venue has a lot of character….
Awesome NIN show!!

Tickets

That's a steal for $30.
Im not sure that this was already posted, but this should be awesome (From The National email). And theres also an artist's talk before the show with Aaron & Bryce and the artist as well (only one date for that 10/31 before that show).

Hi everyone! We wanted to let you know that tickets have gone on-sale today for the "The Long Count" at Brooklyn Academy of Music on October 28th, 30th and 31st. The Long Count is a collaboration between Aaron and Bryce Dessner and the artist Matthew Ritchie. The 70-minute piece features an animated film by Ritchie, a 14 piece ensemble and songs developed with Matt Berninger, Kim & Kelley Deal (Pixies/ Breeders) and Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond). The piece is loosely based on the Mayan creation myth Popol Vuh which features twin brothers. We hope you'll come check it out! You can find information and tickets here:

We'll update you on the new album we're working on later in the Fall or Winter.

Thanks

The obligatory obnoxious Bono speech notwithstanding, this looks intriguing.

this is the part that intrigues me: exactly what "portion" are we talking about here?  $5 of every $250 ticket?  bono's (Red) campaign has been criticized for being more of a feel-good marketing ploy than an actual money-raiser… i wonder if this falls in the same mold.
I wondered the same thing.
Pavement in 2010 maybe?
