One of first acts to play Anthem. Those early shows are very vivid for me.

Man I would be all over that and some older fans that rarely go to shows anymore might turn out but it has to be said that the last two times they played anthem, DC didn’t turn out (I attended and attendance seemed woeful) and I bet for this show Belle is hoping for more than club show $. I know people want this show at 9:30 but I don’t think the economics would work.
You should put suggestions for bookings in the Hey Seth thread though…

I know, but I looked at their schedule and there wasn't even really a spot in there:(
I caught one of their anthem shows, but wasn't feeling it again
but if this had been it, I would have for sure gone to both shows

If these US shows go well they may add another leg or come back around.

No one showed up because they seemingly used to play here quarterly

Can we also just acknowledge nothing they’ve put out in a decade plus is even listenable? Immaculate discography that started to tumble after Dear Catastrophe Waitress and then is fucking terrible after To Write About Love (which itself had one singular song I’d rank a “B-“ or better). And every time coming around is less old stuff. This isn’t rocket science and I **love** B+S.

I like the recent stuff but compared to the first three I want to cry. Stuart Murdoch seemingly lost his muse a long time ago although Write About Love is very good.
For a few years they were perfect. Maybe the best hot streak since The Smiths.

umm…why I'm so bummed about this tour. I love the early stuff, but I start to lose interest after the first 3 and the eps

If anything solidifies my view it’s that if you take Hutch’s first six words off this post, I agree 100%. And we approach bands, nostalgically, from very different starting points.

I'm guessing that some festivals are lining up for next summer, these are warmup dates…given Bob's appreciation of autumn touring on the east coast, that's about the time we could probably expect to see something announced. But I think a lot will depend on the enthusiasm for a handful of warmup shows, how quickly those go, and what the overall interest and vibe is. As long the band can deliver, and I'm sure they'll be well-rehearsed, then we can probably see more dates.
