NYC Shows/Just Announced Thread

Thanks to Joe for the heads up:
Current 93 at Santos Party House 3/11,12

Isn't this a small place?

I figured they would play a theater.

Regardless, I am very much there both nights.

Where my crash space at?

Chemical Brothers
09/04 ? New York, NY @ Electric Zoo

Oh man. PLEASE a DC date would be swell.

What is the Electric Zoo?

http://www.madeevent.com/ElectricZoo/

Looks like a festival, mabye Seth will get them for freefest  ;D

for those wanting to see what Electric Zoo looked like: gallery.  looks like the chem bros are still doing the "massive synth rig on stage and huge trippy visuals" thing… wish i could have made it to this.
Rammstein 12/11 MSG
Really?

Do they still have that kind of pull this long after "Du Hast?"
well, it is their only US show, and first in a long time, and their live show has a fierce reputation.

I can see fans flying in from all over for this one.
another NY date for the gang:

Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Terminal 5
March 14th

onsale friday @ noon
Booka Shade

Tue, 26th
Music Hall of Williamsburg

Holy shit, this is a KILLER bill right here:

Oct 3rd (this sunday!)
Chapterhouse
w/ A Place To Bury Strangers, Ulrich Schnauss, and Soundpool
La Poisson Rouge

doors @ 6:30

I might have attempted that gig if it was on a Saturday and I knew about it in advance.
Where did you find that Chapterhouse information?

I am going to this show and my information says Sundays show is at Bell House with Ulrich Schnauss and Dead Leaf Echo.
doh! it appears I had the wrong date. I'm on the APTBS mailing list, this is what their email today said:

A Place to Bury Strangers will be performing with Chapterhouse this Monday October 4 at Le Poisson Rouge.  Its a really great bill:

6:30pm ? door
7:30pm ? Soundpool
8:30pm - Ulrich Schnauss
9:30pm - A Place To Bury Strangers
10:30pm ? Chapterhouse

This show is going to sell out fast.  You can buy tickets here:

My mistake. So its on Monday.
That looks like an awesome show. Wonder if I can trade my Sunday night tix for that show, but considering its 2 different venues might be a bit harder. Ive seen APTBS quite a few times, so seeing a new band is prob a good thing :)

Damn, I was hoping Sunday got switched up. That will be awesome. I'm sure Sunday will be great, but damn that Monday line-up is SWEET!
holy shit, Grant Lee Buffalo at Bowery Ballroom, February 5, 2011…on sale Friday
Last nights show was awesome. All my friends thought APTBS were playing both nights. But I really liked Dead Leaf Echo. They were quite great. And if I had more time - Id go on about how great Chapterhouse was. Although the whole 'make it louder' thing got repetitive. Ill blame my friends for being the first guys to shout it out - it just got worse. They were insanely drunk  — thank god I was in front for the show. I hadnt heard Pearl in sooooooooo long and I forgot how great that sounded.

I should have gotten in touch with you blipvurt. Maybe another show.

JEFF TWEEDY (solo)
Dec-04, New York, NY, Bowery Ballroom (2-ticket limit, will-call only)
Dec-06 Tarrytown, NY, Music Hall
Dec-08 Charlottesville, VA, Paramount Theater
I met some people on Saturday night who went to the show. I asked about the encore and the guy told me the friends he was with insisted on leaving before the encore. I was trying so hard not too laugh. I guess the appeal of getting drunk in a hotel room during CMJ was more impt than Daft Punk.

Was sad to have missed that - but I hope I was seeing someone good during that time! Memory is a bit of a blur from so many shows at CMJ.
