NYC Shows/Just Announced Thread

How much does it cost to see them nowadays? I personally would not pay more than the $10 it cost for their last Club show.

hot dang - nice pull.

front row is awesome, but for EITS i wouldn't mind being a little further back to get some room ambience.  obviously i would have jumped at Pit-AAA, tho :D

i'm hoping that work will have my in NYC around there.  not currently in the books, but you never know.  if only this wasn't a mid-week show…

right, because you can put on a show for $10 at RCMH.

i'll have to dig up my ticket stub, but i thought it was a little more than $10.

and are you seriously saying they're not worth more than $10?  heathen.
baltimore show last fall wasn't enough? that was $13

EITS - scored AAA 13-14 - hot damn!
Almost sure it was $10 +fees. And…yes.
I think i want to like them more than I actually do.  They were pretty good last time I saw them, opening for the Lips at Merriweather, and in the moment, I'm always all "Yes Yes Yes This Rocks!"  Then five minutes later, I'm all "Huh?"

Personally I can never get enough of EITS in the live setting. This will be my 5th time seeing them.

I think it was $45+ fees for my tix. I am willing to pay that price for RCMH - shows there are amazing experiences unto themselves.

I missed the show in B'more last September because I was already making my way up to All Tomorrow's Parties NY, where EITS killed a few nights later.

Also…..

04.29 New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom - Surfer Blood w/ Trail of Dead
Phil Ochs: There But For The Fortune

Opens January 5 @ IFC Center
i'm willing to bet there'd be more love for EITS here if (a) y'all were able to go to the show, and (b) they didn't have as much success as they're currently having ;D

I don't even understand why they're breaking up…..
They are not…James Murphy is just an attention whore like MIA. They will do a "reunion" gig/tour in a year.
I highly doubt its the last LCD gig. They'll do another in a year or two.
take your hate elsewhere.

from pitchfork:

Murphy has also mentioned how dedicating himself to the band full-time has prevented him from taking advantage of other opportunities. In December, he told Spin, "There are other things I haven't been able to do because of it. Twice, I couldn't make an Arcade Fire record. I couldn't make a Spoon record. I couldn't work with John Cale or Devo. The plan was for this band to be part of my life, then it started to be the whole of my life."

Wait a minute.  Isn't not working with Arcade Fire and John Cale dodging a bullet?  Why the hell is he complaining?  That's like:  "Madonna?  Oh, yeah?  You like my records?  Well, thank you.  Work with you?  Producing?  Oh…..I'd LOVE to….but….ummmm….I have this record coming out and you know….I HAVE TO TOUR IT…you know how it is…"

Brian
This is just a guess but producing Arcade Fire might net a quarter million or so.
And to his credit, he is a much better producer than musician. Those Six Finger Satellite albums sound pretty excellent.

I still say he is full of shit and LCDSS will "reunite" in less than 12 months.
I don't think they'll be back THAT soon, but I don't think it will be long enough to warrant all the hype of a "last show evar!" advertising.
