that was sarcasm? my bad. you gave no indication of it nor do you have a track record of sarcasm.
ok :)
*GASP* you mean to tell me that an executive has the gall to replace staff with people they are better familiar with and are more in line with their policy goals??? for sure nothing like that has ever happened before. . .

i'm guessing this didn't make many newspapers. . .let's see what happens now

thanks for not addressing the issue, once again: it's not that she hired her friends, it's that she hired her incompetent friends. since when does being a real estate agent who "likes cows" qualify one to be head of the division of agriculture?!? putting beliefs and loyalty ahead of ability leads to sh*t like what we saw at FEMA during katrina.

indeed, thanks to bush & cheney it's been a political way of life for the past 7 years.
Heck of a job, Brownie!

I was thinking more along the lines of how carefully orchestrated the Campaign has handled her interviews. If Oprah has a change of heart, this could quickly become "Palin Snubs Oprah request" which could be more damaging.

i'm surprised that she wants to appear on Oprah, unless all of Oprah's interviews are touchy feely…

That was my point. I don't think that she does (or that the campaign wants her to). She was the obvious choice for The View, but instead it was McCain.

i think this is just another example of drudge creating the narrative and other people running with it. . .whether or not palin ever wanted to go on it in the first place.
yeah i dont know that anybody really wanted palin on oprah other than matty

my thought is its dangerous to make women chose between palin and oprah. cause if youre asking me to boycott the steelers to support obama, i'm voting for nader
there has been too much partisanship in this thread. let's get down with something that both the right and left can agree upon: An Immodest Proposal: Time for a Sex Tax

do you mean. . . . thingy?
since i haven't seen it on here yet, i figure i'll link to this article about obama trying to pressure iraq to delay agreeing to a troop withdrawal until the next administration.

At least Sweetcell got it….

My point was that the premise of the Op ed, notice it's not an article of news, which only cites one person with little quips from others, none of which are a full sentence, was that there were negotiations underway for troop withdrawl with the current administration, and that is a contention I don't believe to be true.

Therefore, if there is no negotitation underway, why would the next President ask that no decision be made until the next administration?
the POTW was awarded in the category of "topical zinger". it's called having a sense of humor, do try it some time :p

in terms of addressing the issue: there is none. see smackie's post, above.
