were it not for joe the plumber, various forms of propaganda, jumping up and down any time a "shift" in Obama's policy was detected, the McCain campaign would have probably just stalled around the time of the third debate… either that or discuss some actual issues like health care, education, clean coal, fruit fly research, etc

who cares if he was tied to mccain or not… it seems pretty obvious to me that the "palling around with terrorists" angle wasn't gaining him any new voters, so instead they happen upon a taped conversation Obama has with some dude where he tried in depth to explain this policy and used some poorly chosen words to make his point. now because of three little words all of a sudden the McCain campaign has a new set of ist's and ism's they can throw around… then of course there's the old radio interview which keywords are again taken out of context…

did you see the colbert report where they had the actually Socialist Part Presidential candidate on where he called Obama and McCain capitalist's? until Obama proposes that the workers start owning factories he's still very much a capitalist…
