Recommend some good movies!

Finally saw Slumdog Millionaire last night.  Sgood.
Did not like. At all.
The 25 Best Films of the 21st Century (so far)

I've only seen nine of them.  I guess I lose my cinephile credentials.

I watch arthouse cinema and I assure you that list is terrible. Million Dollar Baby #3? Oooooook…

I concur. I've seen 19 out of 25 on that list, and the only one that would make my own top 25 list for sure is Boyhood.
As a parent, I see a lot more animated films than I did when I was childless. My Life as a Zucchini was one of the best.
Baby Driver as everything is awesome about this movie…

Yeah, do not miss this one on the big screen if you are a fan of music & film.
Although it probably won't end up on a Top-50-Of-All-Time sorta thing, it is brilliant in many ways, esp the cool premise.
Great cast, too.
I was a little disappointed with Baby Driver.  The soundtrack and the way they weave music into the story was great.  The car chases were good but the story never really goes anywhere.  I didn't find either Jon Hamm or Kevin Spacey to be convincing villains.  It's probably worth a trip to the theater, but as noted above, it won't make any "best of' lists.

You've been here long enough to know this: any visual media that features music prominently will be rated two letter grades higher than it actually deserves by this board. We had a weekly discussion of Vinyl, for God's sake.
Split sucked.

Get Out ruled.
I just watched "Get Out" and it was complete garbage.  I can only see people liking this due to politics…horrible.
Enjoyed the big sick while visiting NYC. It should be here soon.
Watched Gifted on the plane ride home from vacation. Was my daughter's pick. Conventional but surprisingly watchable. I also watched Kong Skull Island, among others. Is that the first film to user an Iggy song and an Ozzy song in the same film?
Loved Spider Man: Homecoming

Super funny, great action, tons of heart. Kind of like Ant-Man. Loved all the tie-ins/fallout from the main Avengers storyline too. Plus the after credits scene is just amazing.
very much looking forward to 10/6

I've seen 12. Not sure how Wendy and Lucy made that list. Sweet movie, but not the best of the century, by any means.

I have only seen six of those movies.

How is Mulholland Drive not on the NY Times list?

I've seen 12 of the top 25 from the link below, where Mulholland Drive is the number 1 movie (and have seen 34 of the top 100).

It seems like I have some catching up to do…
