Recommend some good movies!

What else can I say?
Spencer. Not good at all. Seems like a slam dunk they could have made a decent movie out of this story. But epic fail. The Johnny Greenwood score is cool though.
Really enjoyed The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Jessica Chastain gets my Best Actress nod.
Was looking for something to watch and landed on “Sample This” which is about the recording of and then longstanding influence on Hip-Hop of the track Apache by the Incredible Bongo Band.  Some unexpected twists and turns, but worth watching for the intersection of a group of California session musician and a track that eventually became a bedrock for Hip-Hop culture
Ping Pong Summer. Susan Sarandon and filmed in Ocean City, MD. A coming of age comedy featuring excellent acting, some fresh hip-hop, and ping pong. What more could you ask for?

Susan Sarandon, topless, 1970's through early 90's?

My wife and I both really loved "C'mon, C'mon." It was criminal that it received no Oscar nominations. And sadly, it doesn't seem to be on any streaming services? Thank goodness we still have the Netflix dvd subscription.

So are you recommending this movie?

10 bucks says it gets below a 60 on Metacritic.

it's a low-brow comedy.  of course it's getting less than 60.
first one has a 92 https://www.metacritic.com/movie/this-is-spinal-tap

I could care less what metacritic says

it's going to be really hard to live up to the legend of the first one

Love Christopher Guest…has anyone seen Family Tree or Mascots ( Metacritic, the film has a score of 57 )?
my all-time favorite movie.  Looking forward to sequel but expectations are pretty low.
