Spring Breakers

This was my last Netflix DVD. I tried to watch it, on two separate occasions– I couldn't get into it.

My suggestion:  Before Midnight.  I'm a sucker for Ethan Hawke/Julie Delpy.

Agreed.  But, it helps to have seen Before Sunset and Before Sunrise first.  Do guys like these movies?  Or are they a girl thing?  I don't think they're chick flicks, but I also don't know many guys who like them.
I liked them, and I'm a guy.

Saw Nebraska last night. Probably my favorite of the Oscar nominated films I've seen (still need to see Wolf, Hustle, and Her).

I need to see all those.  Was not that impressed with American Hustle.
Is Under the Skin a  worthy selection on my one dvd at a time Netflix account

Honestly, I think they are mostly a girl thing.
I love that trilogy actually.
How could a fan of indie film not love it?  Male or female.

Birdman is really good.
Shut this thread down immediately.

I personally don't know how you don't love them, as they're some of my favorite movies ever, but I can also understand why some people would not.

Glad to hear Birdman was good. Looking forward to seeing it.

I need some good movie recommendations. I feel like I haven't seen a really good one in a while.
I've heard nothing but amazing things about Snowpiercer. It just went up on Netflix over the weekend. It's been on my list. Rotten Tomatoes has it up to 95%, if that means anything to you. I watched the trailer after seeing The Hunger Games and thought it kind of looked the same. Except a train is involved. Still, I've heard great things. Will also be heading out opening day to see Interstellar.
We watched "The Reader" last night and it's very well done…

Saw it. Was underwhelmed. Like a fucked up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Too many holes and so predictable!
I tried to watch Snowpiercer twice and couldn't make it to the end without giving up. I didn't see why it was so well-regarded; but then again, I am not big on sci-fi or graphic novels.

I'll give it a shot. It was weird seeing Hunger Games then seeing that trailer. All I could think of was "So, Hunger Games, minus the games, plus a train?"

Also so Purge 2: whatever it's called, I like the concept, but it's more of a Thriller/Adventure than a Horror movie to me. I could see these going on for years like the Saw series though. Seeing as how the 2nd ends with….well, no spoilers… Also saw "House Of The Devil" it has an insanely creepy build up, but was underwhelmed by the ending.
I'm interested in giving Snowpiercer a chance although its definitely not a genre I usually enjoy. Glad for the heads up its on Netflix now. I think Nebraska hits Netflix this week as well which I've wanted to see.
