Recommend some good movies!

Rocketman is a better movie than Bohemian Rhapsody.

By a fair margin. Didn't love Rocketman but its storytelling was infinitely more interesting. Performances by Taron and Remi were about equal.
I haven't seen Rocketman yet but Bohemian Rhapsody was such lazy storytelling. Every conflict was settled by someone playing a cool bass riff or something similar. You could tell how sanitized it was from the actual inner-workings of the group. It was one of those films that was, on one hand, quite entertaining and well acted and, on the other hand, objectively bad because of the writing, directing, etc.

Claudio Miranda's cinematography looks absolutely gorgeous. May be enough to get me in a theater for this unnecessary sequel.

When asked yesterday if I was going to see this in the theater, I responded, "not likely, and definitely not without alcohol."  I agree, zero interest, save for the cinematography, which might make it worthy of the big screen.
I remember I saw Top Gun with a girl named Lana. She loved the movie, I hated it. We kissed, but we did not have sex. I don't remember if she was a good kisser.

this new Joker movie looks realllly good
the new joker, good?

good, as in, disenfranchised person hates the world . . . becomes a monster, and starts killing people?  don't we see enough of that daily on the news, when some asshat shoots up another school, or place they used to work?  so we, as a society, now think its cool to be the crazy person who has had enough, and violence is fun and art.

o,k.  yeah, I know . . . i'm fun, at parties.
it's just a movie man…lighten up
some,how . . . I doubt that.
I opted for the feel good yet somewhat shmaltzy Blinded by the Light recently and was thoroughly entertained.  It's a wonderful story.
