Recommend some good movies!

As a guy with a pair of balls, rom-coms aren't usually my top genre (though preferred over superhero or horror movies), but these two were quite enjoyable:

Always Be My Maybe (streaming on Netflix, great Keanu Reeves cameo and closing credits song)

Long Shot (Come on, this may be the most appropriate titled movie ever)

Weird. I thought you had the surgery.

So are we supposed to believe that guys with 1 testicle  enjoy rom-coms more than the dual endowed?
does the quantity of members in your nutsac influence your movie choices
Come on, somebody please get my Long Shot joke.

Where are Walky or Rusty Organ when you need them?
Scorsese's Rolling Thunder Revue

You won't see a more animated Dylan
Ad Astra. Apocalypse Now in space. Recommend.
Blaze

Biographical drama of musician Blaze Foley, directed by Ethan Hawke.

Interesting to see long ago teen idol (and, I think, current Dylan guitarist) Charlie Sexton playing a weathered Townes Van Zandt. (Was there ever a time when Townes wasn't weathered?)

A friend of mine, was desperate to see this after all of the trailers.  I thought it looked like a 2001 A Space Odyssey, rip off.

He went . . . and said it was absolute shit.
One movie that got excellent reviews that I *can't* recommend was Book Smart.

The two leads had no chemistry, the writing was terrible, and the music was atrocious. The two girls were the opposite of eye candy (one of them is Jonah Hill's sister, imagine Jonah Hill in a dress), and though that was part of the point, their personalities ranged from grating to non-existent. The boy who was supposed to be the "hot jock" (played by Cuba Gooding's son) seemed more like an art-fag gay-boy (not that there's anything wrong with that, but he just didn't fit the part.)

Olivia Wilde directed and I'd say she should stick to acting, but I haven't liked her in any of the films I've seen her acting in.

unfortunately we're stuck 15 years in the past (more?)
Joker was ok. I was fairly bored most of its run time. Zombieland 2 is a lot of fun. Will be a great lazy Sunday cable/streaming watch.
The Last Black Man in San Francisco

One of my favorite films of 2019, so far.

Great cameo by Jello Biafra. Totally knew that it was him two seconds after he opened his mouth.
Is he the nude guy waiting for the bus?  That scene is very SF.

Memo to directors: If you ever have the chance to cast former Dead Kennedys singer Jello Biafra as a segway-riding tour guide, do so immediately.

Echo in the Canyon was awesome.

Definitely recommend checking it out.
I really liked Parasite.
The Peanut Butter Falcon
Dolomite is My Name
The Dora the Explorer movie was way, way, way better than I would have guessed it would be. Seriously.
