I’m slowly making my way through this list. I’ve realized I’m horrible at remembering which movies I’ve already seen.
what list?
funny my SO has watched movies with me, that we have picked together… to get almost to the end and say "I've already watched this"

Vivarium  - the only horror aspect of that is it was actually made, god that was so bad
now this is a great review for the new war of the worlds movie with Ice Cube

"It is silly, shoddy and features far too much of rapper-turned-leading man Ice Cube staring at a computer screen while looking as if he's working through a reasonably urgent digestive ailment. Like a heat-ray in reverse, it leeches all the fun out of what should be an epic tale of alien invasion."
I watched that piece of shit this weekend. Had to cleanse with a re-watch of Gravity.
In my neck of PG County the local historic movie theater is showing on the big screen these music related feature this month

Anyone looking for some way to spend Saturday could do the following at AFI Silver in the same day:

* Nashville
* Highest 2 Lowest (Spike Lee’s reimagining of Kurosawa’s High to Low)
* 8 1/2 (in 35mm)
* Velvet Goldmine
Is that the same Kurosawa who used to post here?

The same.
Went to see the Blur documentary “To The End” last night. I enjoyed seeing it would have preferred more live footage and less band talking about themselves, but worth it for the footage from the warmup shows.  Those warmup shows in smaller venues must have been a event to witness.  It will also erase the memory of watching that soulless fiasco of a set at Coachella.

Now of course I want to see the film of the entire Wembley show in a movie theater.

One Battle After Another for the mother ducking win. What a film!

OMG. I got to see this last weekend in NYC in 70mm IMAX and JFC was it insane. 2:45 has never flown by so quickly.

Also saw a great lost film by Chantal Ackerman at MoMA.

How much were the movie tickets? What snacks and alcohol did you bring?

$10. No snacks, I made an omelette and toast and juice before I left home. I don't drink at 10am. My wife bought a coffee at the theater. The movie is a far more interesting discussion.

It’s $22 for 70mm at the AFI, but I got in for free.
