Recommend some good movies!

Don't go see the new Lindsay Lohan flick, no good. Good thing I went to see it for free.

If you haven't seen them, go out and rent 'The Bourne Identity' and 'The Bourne Supremacy' - then go to the theater and see 'The Bourne Ultimatum'.

That's what I did these past two weeks and I tell you those movies kick ass! Bourne Ultimatum has some incredible action scenes.
HOT FUZZ
this preview looks amazing.  apparently james cameron has said that it's "the best space movie ever".

This was my last Netflix DVD. I tried to watch it, on two separate occasions– I couldn't get into it.

My suggestion:  Before Midnight.  I'm a sucker for Ethan Hawke/Julie Delpy.

I was joking… kind of… it was so bad, it was good.

Why not? Detroit's erecting a statue to RoboCop. Just the sort of positive momentum needed for a reboot.

One of my all time favorite movies. The director's other two films, The Visitor and Win Win are also fantastic.

And I didn't realize he was also on The Wire!
Over the weekend I watched Goon and Dredd [both available on Netflix] and Goon is actually a pretty charming movie. Seann William Scott stars in this along with Liev Shriver [sp?] about a bouncer who turns into an enforced in a minor league hockey team. It's a crude comedy, but it has a ton, ton, ton of heart. Absolutely loved it. I highly recommend giving it a view. I watched with 2 lady friends who were very opposed to it [Hate hockey and Sean William Scott] but they were hooked.

Dredd was about as action packed as you'd imagine. I truly enjoyed it for what it was, just a shoot em up action movie. It's worth a view if you're into that kind of thing.

Went to see Machete Kills. Dear god. The over the top violence is so insanely entertaining. Perfect sequel to a perfectly made homage to old grindhouse mexplotation movies lol. The end also leads into a follow up that seems like it's more insane that the previous 2.
Saw the new Salinger documentary (available on Netflix) last night. Really, really good. Incidentally, I also bought the book a few weeks ago, it's dreadful. But go see the doc.
