Better him than Rollins. Or Grohl.

I really should watch this. I (unfairly) think of that scene as nothing but skinheads.  Not true.
Old punks don't die they just have documentaries made about them

D.O.A. Punk’s Pivot to Politics Highlights New Documentary ‘Something Better Change’
Joey “Shithead” Keithley’s journey from hardcore singer to city councillor in British Columbia examined in upcoming film

Ian MacKaye - Check
Henry Rollins - Check
No Dave Grohl - but we get his stand-in Krist Novoselic

also Jello, Beto and Duff McKagan

it's currently in  Kickstarter funding mode
Every night is a Saturday night: the Bobby keys story
Soo good, man is legendary
I regret not going to see him at the Howard shortly before he died

He really fit the Stones perfectly… gave them exactly what they needed…that classic Texas honker saxophone sound

Kind of like King Curtis did for Sam Cooke and Aretha
Went to see, Psycho Gorman, on the big screen.

Dorky, funny, gross, annoying, good times.
I am literally watching Big Lebowski for the first time.  This is a great movie.
Makes me wish I was drinking a White Russian.
How is this possible? Even I have seen it and I have major gaps when it comes to movies!

But happy for you…what a treat!

Wow! This is one of the most rewatchable films of all-time. Put this on in the background and I'm very happy.

What prompted you to watch this for the first time 25 years after its release? I think it was just #1 in an article on "all time best cult classics" this week in . . . something.
Yeah, I dunno. I always knew I wanted to see it, but just never did. mrs grateful had no interest, which led to even further delays…

Anyway, I'm glad to have finally entered the zeitgeist. I feel I have a deeper understanding of y'all.
Quite possibly the best comedy in the last 3 decades…
what would be other contenders??

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

Clueless, Mean Girls, Bridesmaids, Office Space, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Zoolander, American Pie.
Agree it is one of the most rewatchable films ever. Sublime comedy, imo.

I’d add Clerks, Swingers, Something About Mary, Wedding Crashers to the discussion. Maybe even Dumb/Dumber, Superbad, Shaun of the Dead. A lot of contenders, for sure.
The Beach Bum
Don't the majority of those picks predate BL?
I do agree with most of them tho…Just feel like comedy movies have kinda sucked for the last 2 decades
I think bridesmaids is the only 'current' one

I just rewatched It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World this weekend (with intermission!) and that's a great comedy

You literally said "last 3 decades" in the post we are all responding to. Moving the goalposts.

Clerks is definitely up there. Hell, I have a weird affinity to Mallrats too.

Rushmore is also sublime.
Dumb and dumber?

My kid really wanted to watch it so I sat through it a few weeks ago

Horrible!!

Dude, you have some good beer taste. But I'd put most of those movies on a list of worst movies I've ever seen.
