I just found out that a venue I’ve been attending regularly for almost 15 years did this a little over half a year ago and it ruined my impression of them. Totally inexcusable and gross even if you are named Pollstar venue of the year on a regular basis. https://t.co/DGFIsbfw5a

Honestly Azaghal has some really high ideals that would be hard for anyone

I know about 10 years ago the Warner Theatre (live nation) already did this on all events(taking a cut of merch)

I don’t know much about this practice but it is hard for me to sympathize much with bands charging $30 for a shirt they pay $2 to make and losing a few bucks…however, it does suck for smaller acts…Dean Wareham said t shirt sales kept Luna afloat

But I don’t know how income generated by concerts is divided up…you have ticket sales, ticket charges, merch and bar/food…

An empty storefront in my old work neighborhood just got converted into a Commander Salamander, a defunct store chain from  my misspent youth circa 1984. Also, #WonderWoman2 is filming in DC soon.
