Dropped off Twitter.  Fuck Elon.
That was fast…what he do?
One thing he did was tweet a false story about Pelosi's husband which stated the attacker was a male prostitute servicing Pelosi's husband (he has since deleted his tweet).  This report came from the same news outlet that had claimed Hilary Clinton had died and was replaced with another person.  Plus I don't see the need to support a platform that allows accounts whose purpose is to generate hatred and and spew racists language.

No reason to stay a part of that for now, at least until they clean it up.

Wow about Pelosi…

Musk is an asshole no doubt and also a creepy guy….

Twitter has been a cesspool forever though….

can confirm on all 3
But if you hadn’t left  before why leave now?

People are saying TFG is coming back.
Think they will find the Stone Rolled Away from the Tomb?
Didn’t see this coming, but I’m all about taxing the rich

Twitter will charge for a blue checkmark
$20 a month (or $5?)

Did every blue check just turn white?
Whoa blue checks are losing it.  This is their 9/11

I am almost thinking this is a cruel joke that Elon is playing on people and the blue checkmarks walked right into it
I’ve never been interested in Twitter before but now that’s it’s an oligarchy and people can (properly) buy their way to legitimacy on it, I’m intrigued. We need to make sure it amplifies luxurious voices as God intended.
^ unexpected, and perfectly on-brand, take.
haggling on price with the King was not something I was expecting

elon is spitballing in real time.

we are now at $8, but honestly these aren't horrible ideas

that is insane.  he's crowd-sourcing his corporate strategy, immediately after spending 44 BILLION for the company??
He is likely a front for China and Saudi Arabia. I can’t stand the dude.

"Crowd-sourcing his corporate strategy" is way more euphemistic than I would be about what he's doing which is throwing some random ideas at the wall and seeing which sticks.

I have, although no deep dive
looks like chris murphy is looking into it

TIL  Saudi Arabia, which has the eighth most Twitter users of any country in the world !
I for some reason thought they weren't even allowed to use it…is that Iran?

By the numbers: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, founder and chairman of the Kingdom Holding Company, said the company would continue its ownership of Twitter shares valued at $1.89 billion after Musk completed the deal, making it Twitter's second largest investor.

I mean, they are the 2nd largest…but they only control less than 5%, so really don't 'control the company' by any means Im aware of
