Angels sign Rendon, 7 years $245m
Any word on if Nats made an offer?

7/245 seems reasonable
My own take is in the end he wanted either to play for Los Angeles or somewhere other than DC…,why? No idea…and totally his prerogative

- full no trade clause
- no opt puts
- no deferred money (this was the biggest sticking point with any Nationals offer.  Stras took the deferment, Rendon refused. Last Nats offer I heard was 7 years, $210m, but that was before the end of the season, with deferments)
Angels 3B since Troy Glaus left for AZ in 2005:

Chone Figgins (2004, 2007-09)
Dallas MacPherson (2005)
Macier Izturis (2006)
Alberto Callaspo/Kevin Frandsen (2010)
Alberto Callaspo (2011-13)
David Freese (2014-15)
Yunel Escobar (2016-17)
Luis Valbeuna/Zack Cozart/Kaleb Cowart/David Fletcher (2018)
David Fletcher/Zack Cozart/Tommy La Stella (2019)

A rag tag bunch of "Who?"s and has-beens…..

Also, many Nat's fans have been gracious in congratulating the Halo's in the subreddit - he is well loved.  They're also demanding that we continue to refer to him as "Tony 2-Bags" which I am down with.
Honestly I will probably root for Ángels in AL

I like Moreno and Rendon remains my favorite player

But I think Nats lost a golden opportunity to build Nats nation …but if Rendon wants to play elsewhere not much you can do I guess
Astros Manager and GM suspended for one year amid cheating allegations.

Additionally, MLB will fine the Astros $5 million and take away their first- and second-round draft picks in the 2020 and 2021 drafts.

Holy shit. I was so certain this was getting swept under the rug.
I thought for sure fine and a slap on the wrist draft pick loss.  This is much worse and WAY more than I expected.

Hot rumor is Alex Cora is going to get more in the Red Sox probe as the "ringleader."  Beltran may be protected as his infractions occurred as a player, despite being a manager now.  #unionFTW
Astros just fired them both!

Manfred, man
too bad they don't void out the championship, like they do in NCAA…
Clayton Kershaw in the 2017 World Series:

At Dodger Stadium:
11IP, 1ER, 3BBs, 15Ks, 0.82 ERA

At Minute Maid Park:
4.2IP, 6ER, 3BB 2Ks, 6.50 ERA
The whole thing sucks

Doubly thankful Nats won

So how long before AJ Hinch has another managing job in MLB?

I am openly advocating for the Tigers to hire both Hinch and Luhnow and just sit them on ice for a year.

Much sooner than Alex Cora.
Betts and Price from Bosox to Dodgers
