The MLB Thread

Totally agree.  I passed on O's OD tickets for the 1st time in I don't know how long. Not ready to go yet.
Not going to any games for a few months, that's for sure.

I did enjoy watching opening day on TV though, as I had never seen this before.  Probably nearly 10,000 baseball games in my life….

Assuming you're fully vaccinated, why not?

Many reasons, but the main reason is because my wife is not vaccinated.  She's also young, fit, and healthy and does not work in a priority field so I don't see her getting her vaccination until mid-to-late May.

I see no sense risking it until the Angels come to the Bay Area, and that doesn't happen until Memorial Day Weekend, but then they come right back in mid-June so I'm more likely to wait and see until then.  There is a lot of science to be worked out, and while I feel completely confident that I won't be hospitalized, variants and transmission have yet to be determined.

Does that make you old, un-fit and un-healthy

Cool, makes perfect sense.

Yes, no, and no.  But more important to this conversation, I work in a field deemed essential.

Just out of curiosity, did she manage to get vaccinated before mid-to-late May?

Its up there although the AAV is pretty meek as salaries continue to skyrocket.
Capacity restrictions lifted at Camden Yards starting June 1st, which happens to also be my birthday.  Cheers.

That's my wife's birthday too, though she won't want to spend it at Camden Yards.

I doubt that I will as well.

I have tickets for June 1.  The wife and child have opted out, but not because of vaccines, they just don't want to go.
Why are there any unvaccinated Nationals players at this point?

CHICAGO – An unidentified Washington Nationals player who is vaccinated and asymptomatic has tested positive for COVID-19, manager Dave Martinez said Wednesday.

That player was deemed to have been in close contact with another Nationals player who is not vaccinated. Martinez said neither player would have been in the starting lineup against the Chicago Cubs and neither was available off the bench.
Fedde, who is vaccinated and Rainey, who is not.
Happy Bobby Bonilla Day to you and yours.
Tomahawk Chop vs. Cheaters.

Who you guys pulling for?
My sister lives in Houston and I have always loved Dusty Baker and want him to get a World Series as a manager.
