The Mrs has been making a few trips to Salt Lake lately, but it hasn't coincided with a Bees game.  Would love to take a few of those in…

I was in Nashville a couple months ago so I took in a Sounds game, even ended up with a foul ball…. which is how I found out that Nashville is in the Pacific Coast League….

When will Jim Joyce just retire and go away?

I am so bummed about Jose Fernandez.  His loss is going to devastate that franchise too. He was to be dealt miggy style this off season or next.

So Ellsbury has gotten on 12 times this year on a catcher's interference call.  Fuck that guy.

So Yankee Stadium has had 2 champagne celebrations, neither one involving the Yankees.
And Fenway Park has had one champagne celebration, which didn't involve the Red Sox.

I'm liking this trend.

the thing I enjoyed the most was seeing Ichiro hit…. I'm a big Ichiro fan.. I am not sure if I have seen him before.. I tend to think I have…


I also liked seeing Scherzer get his 20th win… not sure how many pitchers I've seen get their 20th win..

Scherzer pitched pretty horribly but he did drive in 4 runs!

I can't even keep the racing presidents straight anymore.. they got to go back to having 4

Big Ichiro fan here too. Saw him a number of times when visiting Seattle. Really one of my all time favorites. My favorite Ichiro story is that the Mariners used to put the player's favorite food along with their stats on the scoreboard. Ichiro's favorite food was listed as "rice".

The first MLB game I ever attended was at Yankee Stadium in 1978. Ed Figueroa became the first Puerto Rican player to win 20 games in a season on that day, with a complete game shutout. Reggie hit a home run, the Yankees cllnched a tie for the pennant (later beating my Red Sox by one game), and my "friend" flicked my Red Sox hat off my head and nearly got punched.

You can legally park up in the hood near the highway on a Sunday (about a mile away), avoiding parking fees, and by the time you walk back to your car the traffic has thinned out…

As a fan of the 6th place team, I would've liked more inclusive champagne baths. Oh well. . .

Actually they were the 3rd, 4th and 5th place teams and they were all on the road.  But I get your snark. 

I had a champagne bath last night knowing I don't lose a draft pick for every tendered free agent Artie overpays this off season…
