It would've made all the sense in the world that the one time I get tickets to a 'surprise at the club' show it gets cancelled. So my money is still on 'Green Day Cancels DC Show'.

Chris Isaak cancels all remaining 2016 tour dates because of pneumonia, which includes the Lincoln Theater show Nov 12th….

the Steelers-Chiefs playoff game sunday, moved from 1pm to 8:20pm because of weather concerns….

I think "lead growler" is more like it.

But there are plenty of bands who have lost their lead singers, and still managed to hold on:

the pink Floyd mention is a good call . . . but is it also wrong of me to believe that once the lead singer switched in pink Floyd, some magical alignment happened, which only comes along every once in awhile, and was never going to happen with syd barrett?

I think that GWAR had something equally magical, not as profound as pink Floyd . . . but I feel it will be very hard for the new Gwar to repeat what the old GWAR accomplished.
