What's up with Bat Fangs and the Messthetics being canceled at the Rock'n'Roll Hotel? Word on the street is some shady stuff is happening at that venue…anyone clued in?

Azaghal was always bemoaning shady stuff there…

I, know this is a crushing blow . . . to this, community.  but, phish's major 3 day festival "curveball" was cancelled, last minute, as in as the band was about to walk on stage to do sound check, yesterday.  the reasons, due to contaminated water from massive flooding which devastated the surrounding areas.


leaving, a majority of fans and people who saved up and spent thousands to attend, and some already there, to be just shit out of luck . . . and leaving others to comment online, "wow, that was sure a curveball."

I've been there a few times.  One seated show and the others standing.  Just a big concrete room with a bar to the side. Sound was fine every time. The place is a little hard to find.  The entrance is in an alley underneath the Hyatt (across from the parking garage).

Great venue and sound.  Seen US Girls and Hot Snakes there.

Place is not good for sold out shows though. They have no idea how to organize a line. Saw GAS there and the bar downstairs was closed due to the lightshow. Ok, sure fine. They then told me I couldn't bring a beer from the top bar downstairs and gave no indication why. I know this board loves to shit on Rock and Roll Hotel but at least that place knows how to serve guests.
