I was going to wonder aloud if he had finally pissed off enough people such that ticket sale wold be light and the show would be Stubhubable. But then I remembered I had a personal conflict with that date. But now that it's already cancelled, no worries.

It is, with regret that we have to announce the cancellation of a few of our upcoming co-headline dates with @viagraboys. This is due to personal commitments which, in this instance, unfortunately have to take priority over the shows.

As a band we always aim to do everything we set out to, but sometimes the circumstances just don’t allow this. We’re sorry to anyone who was hoping to see us, and we’ll do our very best to make it back to these regions in the near future.

Ticket holders for the affected shows will be automatically refunded in the coming days.

For sure but I think bands should then say it’s personal , they don’t owe you anything, and it’s none of your business.

Why the duplicity?

they literally wrote "This is due to personal commitments"… not sure what duplicity you're seeing here?  should they explicitly describe the commitments?? 

maybe it's just me, but saying "it's for personal reasons" is enough.  I don't need (nor want) them to get all oppositional and add "NONE OF YOUR GAWDAMN BEESWAX SO LEAVE US THE FUCK ALONE!!!".

Maybe their good friends announced a wedding last minute… maybe the lead singer has substance abuse problems and is going to reptile rehab with challenged.

Possible explanations:
Their parent mother is dying.
Their kids are having an emotional breakdown.
Their best friend just survived a suicide attempt.
Their basement flooded and they have to take care of it.
Their sound guy was just diagnosed with cancer.

*None of these things are true. I hope. And I hope their personal business is far less tragic than any of these hypotheticals. Let me know if you still need the real story. Maybe we can reach out to the band.

Well then they should tell us…

You really can’t cancel shows and that’s like the number one rule. Pick a different career if you want to cancel…. Seriously. Everybody knows that.

It’s a cliche: the show must go on.

I just reread cock's post and find it odd both bands are canceling just these 9 dates of their joint tour
then just pick it up again in November with a south american tour
