**A Note from Brian Wilson**

Dear Friends,

As some of you might know I have been having some issues with my back that have very recently gotten worse. It runs in my family, Carl had back problems as well. My doctors have told me that I need to have back surgery immediately. They are optimistic that this will finally relieve the pain. Sadly, this means we must postpone the upcoming May shows. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to everyone who was coming out to see us. I know that my agents are already in the process of rescheduling and we will have some of the make-up dates to announce very soon. We will get you all the info asap. Please know that the music is in my heart and in my soul and me and the boys are looking forward to performing for you very soon.

Love & Mercy
Brian Wilson
In terms of cancellation notices, that's a pretty damn good one.

Probably a DoS from the artists pissed about giving 15% to the house on merch.

I have it on good authority that no one who works for Seth feels bad for artists with their overpriced shirts at all. I also have it on good authority that everyone on here feels merchandise and touring is where bands make their money so we should all feel fine stealing their music.

I learn so many interesting things on this forum. So many. And almost all of them are self-serving!

I mean the tweet said "unavoidable schedule change", but yeah.
That seems strange since show is 4 months away.

aren't low ticket sales the venue's issue?
Don't the bands (in venues the size of 930 and up) typically agree on with the venue on what they will get paid?
then the venue figures out the price based on that..and the assumption it will fill 80% of the venue and make a profit on drinks (and 20% of the merch)

I guess there could be a clause in the contract that if they don't sell 50% of the tickets by X date…the show gets canceled?

but I only play a booking agent on TV, I'm not one in real life
I was upset that an email wasn't sent by IMP or the group.  I just got a refund email and figured something got screwed up with my credit card or maybe a computer glitch.
