Here is what I read into that
only 300 people buy a $75 ticket to see me in 20 towns is not a profitable venture when you have a 30 person entourage and expect every expense to be covered by the label, which means high end buses, all meals/drinks comped and nice hotels…that could be $200k off the top
Now get in a van and play 250 capacity clubs and sell tix for $35…I bet you'd come out on top
but a lot of these rock stars want to be treated like royalty and I have no sympathy for them
Yes the label has made a lot of money off them…but if you don't tour, you become irrelevant
