Just Postponed (or Cancelled)
The Liam Gallagher Lincoln Theatre show still seems to be in postponed-or-canceled limbo.
Any future Neil Diamond show.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club postponed their last two shows–in Orlando and Charlotte–to May due to the flu. Not sure if they will follow suit with tomorrow's 9:30 date, but it does not seem promising.
If we are going to refuse to show the works of a quadriplegic who spoke crudely to his models, then what are we to do with Picasso, whose brutal emotional and physical abuse of women is legendary? Or Gauguin, who spread STDs across Tahiti, raped women, and took a 14-year old bride?

Muhammad's marriage to Aisha was consummated at nine or 10, and a whole lot of people dig that guy.

Or Jackson Pollock…Difference is those dudes are dead and Chuck Close is still alive.
I don't know how it will be handled. I do think it is possible to separate the artist from the art, and that men are not going to be respectful overnight just because everyone is saying #metoo now.
BUT, these non-apology apologies are really pissing me off. Just say "sorry" and "I'm working to be a better person." Is it that difficult?

Agreed. I'm not defending Close, but I do find the decisions about who is penalized and who is not to be arbitrary. Perhaps the criteria is dead vs. alive, but nobody has said so.
Pollock is an interesting example. NGA is still promoting a special exhibit of one of his mega-paintings but makes no mention of the hell that Lee Krasner endured as his wife.

yes this is a whole new era
artists tend to be some fucked up people to begin with
it's much easier to separate the artist from the art when they are dead tho..
