So let's say this is true. They've made the business decision to forego a $25,000 night to finalize a $1M album / tour / merch / career builder. I'm ok with that.

so the VBoys actually get a fairly decent draw
the black cat show was probably 80% full and made a killing in merch

it wasn't scheduled at the otto bar but Union Craft Brewery, so really have no idea what the capacity is
I suspect it's more than 350, but don't really know

don't remeber what shame said, but they left it with
We love you guys, and hope to make it up to you in the near future.

Wow! Just wow!

Talk about making my case for me
I'd be willing to bet the viagra boys never hit 1m in revenue.
Wow just wow! Talk about making my case for me!
what's with hutch going all trump?  "i'll just keep declaring victory, despite not winning or even doing anything to win!"

what strange times we live in…
Maybe he's watching an artisan crafting a bespoke briefcase for him, and his speech-to-text feature is stuck in the on position.
LOL
I finally got my refund for the tickets I bought last October for the May Little Simz show that was moved from Union Stage to FSS because she said s tour is not financially viable (but a one off at Firefly apparently is.)
she's not on the firefly lineup anymore…

Hard to believe bands are still canceling shows due to positive cases…
Yeah it occurred to me that at some point this doesn’t make sense… I will leave it to the professionals but am somewhat skeptical

Sounds like an easy out if the band was on a Jimmy fallon bender and don't feel like playing tonight
I just can’t be that cynical….so many people’s lives are affected….

Although The Rolling Stones did that once in 2006 postponing their show cause that week they were filming shows for the Scorsese movie Shine a Light and wanted to preserve Mick’s voice. They said something about being ill…. We drove all the way up to Atlantic City only to find out about half an hour before getting there…. That was so lame.
I mean, if you’re sick with COVID, you want to stand up there and sing for 90-120 minutes? People get sick, sick people should rest and not do their job. This isn’t specific to COVID or musicians.

I don't have the time, energy,  or care… but if you ran the #s in pre covid times vs. Covid times and compared cancelations due to sickness,  I think the #s would be way up now.

No disagreement. The number of sick people at any given time is way up.
