Serious? Geez

Thanks for heads up
Damn I was really looking forward to this for like a year…
God, I love Avalanches. So original,  and such a great time!
I know right! Fuck me

Guess I will get $40 Buck or something and I can spend it on something else..maybe Ween
Spiritualized Japan Tour
I'm thinking IMP with solidarity with Live, made the serious illness happen to the Avalanches for their support of Santigold, can't have the their owned products complaining like that in public
Metronomy canceled
Morrissey @ The Anthem
A bunch of Ringo shows…the Beatle has Covid

Get well Ringo

Peace and love

Damn. Definitely needs surgery and a lot of therapy. Might need a cane for the rest of his life.
Moral of the story…

Angry rock and roll antics don't translate well to over the hill 50+ years olds.
you don't see Mick Jagger pulling his Achilles
I don't know all the details on Zack, but it often happens to 50 + year olds (can confirm) who are not prepared for the activities they did when they were younger.

Achilles tendon problems are very common, especially among middle-aged weekend warriors who don’t exercise regularly.

Right… and strutting around like a peacock vs. Convulsions like an angry elf probably pit more strain on your acchilles

I'm only human though I'm super at times
I jump off of risers I should not have climbed
Rock jumps won't kill you until one of them does
Well they'll say "He died doing what he loves"

not sure I agree, mick is 79 years and puts on 90 minute shows with more energy than some 20 year olds
I think zack is out of shape and remembering what he did 20 years ago and thinking he can still do that is on him
It happened on the first show back - I think- which would indicate, I think, that his body wasn’t ready. Huge bummer. From reading his post it’s threatening his quality of life

I can’t believe they went on to finish the first leg of the tour with him sitting in a chair but from a financial standpoint they almost had to….it’s got to hurt their pockets to cancel cause these big tours usually require big upfront costs and really rake as they go on

RATM is one of those acts I can’t understand and always wonder if people can genuinely like them….or if it’s more about the message and identifying with the band and other fans

They're a great angry teenager band from the 90's…. I think they've aged POORLY.

it was the second show of the tour.  the first show was at alpine valley 2 nights prior. his legs survived.
