Steamtown Marathon, Scranton New Jersey, originally scheduled for 10/10/21 cancelled due to COVID resurgence.  Its one of the smaller races, at 1,500 runners.

That really sucks, though I keep expecting that this will happen more and more.  I wonder what makes them think that it will all be better by November…

If we look at history or experience with covid we see it comes and goes in fast waves.. we are currently going up… we need to crest and get back down.. and keep the amplitude as small as possible

Nobody thought we would be where we are a now just a couple of months ago…hard to say where we will be in a couple of weeks

Also important to note a much lower percentage of covid cases are resulting in death… 1500 per day is a lot less than 4000+

I was holding my breath, thinking it was MMJ and Merriweather.

The Dino Jr. postponement might actually work for me. I really liked their new album, but couldn't make the show that night.

Edit: The DC date is in November, so no change?

I'm done with supporting IT of educational institutions, possibly the worst, only bested (or worse-ed) by Attorneys and Dr.s

fun fact: the hatch is a Howard alum (albeit a adult education class from the Silver Spring campus for a Windows NT cert back when clinton was prez…so it's a stretch )
