It’s been two years since the first US case was detected (well..I think it will be January 21)

every study i've come across says that prior infection + vaccine confers the best protection, better than either alone. 

i'm resigned to the fact that sooner or later i'll get omicroned (thanks kids!).  assuming i recover, i'll continue to take boosters as they become available.

I mean, you're basically already over it and hardly had any symptoms? I mean, I realize that's the point of the vaccine/boosters, but you'll most likely not get it again.

Immunity wanes over time. That's why you need a flu shot every year. They're thinking COVID boosters will be recommended every 3-6 months.
