Rumor: Smashing Pumpkins at 9:30 Club July 10th

also, and maybe this is an incorrect impression on my part, but it seems that despite all those posts there was less whining about not getting tickets, about tickets.com sucking donkey balls, and only one mention that i remember of of "true fans" deserving tickets more than others.

could this bboard be maturing?!?
Does that mean you will have a sharpie with you while handing out stickers to everyone that say..

Hello I'm

so is it basically imposible to go to this show if you dident get tickets already with your creditcard and or your names not on the list for will call ???? or did any tickets get mailed out so i have a chance to buy it from some one ?????

yes, the show is sold out. very sold out. sure, you can buy a ticket - for $400 from scalpers, not that we encourage them. 50,000 people tried getting their hands on 1,000 tickets… the math doesn't work in anyone's favor.

A very limited amount of tickets are being released by tickets.com…best bet is to call a couple hundred times a day(best bet is to wait until Monday - that is when the CC rejects will be rereleased)

DC101 is giving away a bunch tickets if you wanna deal w/ that BS

You can still buy tickets from people, but at a large mark up. If someone purchases 2 tickets, they(the buyer) must use one ticket but is free to escort in any guest they may wish. Just make sure whoever you buy from is going to the show and is escorting you in.
i thought it said your name has to be on the list no matter what and you must have id to show your that person so how can any one sell tickets ??? cause i thought when you buy the tickets you must give your name and the name of the other person

Nope, they will only check for the name of the buyer. Thus, the buyer can escort in any guest they wish.
are you totally sure about that i keep hearing different things . but if its like you say and i find some one with an extra ticket the only way it would work is to meet them at the show and be with them when they pick the tickets up ? so alllll the tickets must be picked up at the show??? none where mailed out at all ??
The person who's name is on the will call MUST use one of the tickets. That person can bring anyone in as a guest but said person and guest MUST pick up tickets together and go directly into the venue. There will be ZERO opportunity to swap tickets, hand off armbands, etc.
cool thanks for clearing that up for me and if anyone has an extra ticket please let me know ill b happy to pay for both tickets and some extra money and a ride if someone needs a ride!

1) call tickets.com and check the website as often as you can. call, be told that nothing is available, then call again (and hope that you get another operator :) )
2) be in the good books of the WORLD'S BEST BOARDIE who, looking out for you, called you as soon as tickets became available and took your address and payment details over the phone :)

Sweetie, I know, I know. Stop the rub. ;) :p
And, I want to see the Pumpkins just like any other folk, but, c'mon, I don't have that time. And, not at work.

Perhaps, but maybe it's b/c more regulars were shut out than normal (hell, most posts seem to have claimed a loss). Basically, we're all stewing in the pity pot together.

I think that there are just enough years between the audiences for SP and Inkybus to create a maturity gap. SP was already on the scene when "alternative" started to mainstream while Inkybus was a product of alternative's commercialization (see Thomas Frank's and Dave Macahey's "Consolidated Deviance, Inc." from the book Commodify Your Dissent for a hilarious satire of 90s alternative market-think).

What's the Wilco fans' excuse then? Seriously, as much as we rag on the Incubus kiddies, the Wilco old-fogeys were much more bitter and asinine.
The funny thing is, I watched SP on Live Earth, and wasn't impressed… So I'm not entirely sad I didn't get tickets now. :)
Can ANYONE confirm getting tickets that were released after the initial sellout?

Yes, myself and several others.
