Unbeknownst until now:
The first 200 people to show up tonight get to be a part of the pre show festivities and will also receive free Smashing Pumpkins t-shirts and buttons!!
GET OUT THERE!!! Enjoy the show!
Anyone out there with mobile internet? Post some photos of the line! Get your iPhones out! :-)

Billy Corgan is cruel bastard. The first 200 are not the 200 who have suffered the most. Dickhead move, Billy. Dickhead move.

Total asshole.
give me your tickets if you feel that way.
Originally posted by callat703:Give me a break. This show was already a highly anticipated, exclusive show as you can tell from all the frenzy on this board. So the 1000 tickets are pretty exclusive to begin with. But then to take the first 200 through the door and make them MORE exclusive is just stupid. It's not like making another 800 t-shirts was going to break the bank.

Please. Give it a rest with all this "pious" Billy Corgan crap. Billy Corgan is blessing the poor lost souls of Washington D.C. with an "almighty rock" performance! Afterwards you'll have to line up to great him like the pope. Make sure you kiss his ring. So we are supposed to be eternally grateful that Billy Corgan is only charging $35 for his version of "Billy and The Pumpkins" that is esentially a record release party for an album that no one is going to buy? All hail Saint Corgan!
Hey, listen. A year from now, when you see "Zeitgiest" in the used bin at the local CD shop, ask if the release show buttons come with it.
Some of you have your heads so far up your rectums it's not even funny.
"Total asshole." You're right. Billy Corgan is.
Brian
The force is weak with this one.
I think he's a dude fronting a rock band giving 200 people a free shirt.
Now, its just me, but I don't know of any other band that's done that. Just sayin.
Seems you want to find something wrong with every facet of this show, though, so enjoy sitting at home tonight listening to Fall Out Boy and the other music released this week that is more relevant than the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix.

Here's hoping that they'll play "I Am One", which is still probably my favorite Pumpkins song. They played it in 1999 when they played the Club, actually that was what they opened with. Queens of the Stone Age were the opening band for that tour too.

But yes, I am One would be unreal.
By the way - I have the Target and iTunes exclusive tracks. I'm happy to send them to anybody - send me a PM if you'd like one. I'd love to get the Best Buy track in trade, if you've got it.

And, Brian…I'll take your criticisms more seriously if you figure out how to spell check your profile name. :D
Yeah…sucks that Billy is tossing out free merch instead of selling it. What a dickhead! Plus, helping the club get people in the door earlier, as well as get people in to see the opening act.
What an asshole he is! How dare he do something like this…

Zeitgeist, the Target exclusive track, is one of the best from these sessions. Just an acoustic demo, but its very strong.
