Rumor: Smashing Pumpkins at 9:30 Club July 10th

Rumor: Smashing Pumpkins at 9:30 Club July 10th. Inside person said this and its been making its round today on the internet. Nothing officially posted on smashing pumpkins website or myspace website as well.

This is the second time I've heard something like this, and I still think it's BS. Just sayin'…

If it happened, that'd be great though…

I'd love for this to be true, especially since I missed out on the Orange Peel shows Damn, I'd kill for a ticket.

i'm definitely in if it happens. i just got back from asheville tonight.

just popping in to let bombay chutney and vansmack know that i've got dibs on the hammock this time, but the cooler will be fully stocked and sunscreen and bug spray is also available.

Is that confirmation? I'm a confirmed bachelor, and childless…but if this comes off and we're able to get tix (I think it should anti-touting Asheville style 2 tix max, will call only) I'll gladly create a first born to give away.

Hopefully homocide won't be a prerequisite to get a ticket, but financial ruin might be. I'll gladly pay face value four times what they charged for the residency shows, anything over a bill will be excessive though, though I guess I'm already doing that for a Sunday V Festival ticket.

it's in no way a confirmation, i have zip zero nada inside info for the club. it's just an inside joke for those of us who find the forum highly entertaining the day tickets go on sale for bands of a certain well knowness.

i'll volunteer to help.

I thought this was a load of bullshit when I first saw this thread, but the fact that no one's stomped out this rumor yet, combined with the fact that they're in New York for some late (Letterman???) show around album release tells me it may be true. If that's the case, I may just may *ahem* be coming down with something & not able to make it to work the day of onsale. Yeah. That's it. The 24-hour onsale flu . . .

FYI, i got dibs on the hot-tub after the show. y'all are going to have to wait until i'm finished soaking for your turns (assuming you can make your way up there after the show in the first place).
