Just Announced: The Non-Mid-Atlantic & Non-NYC Edition

I'm sure a lot of people will be excited about the lineup and that's cool. But doesn't it just seem like these festivals are all interchangeable at this point? What will the festival circuit do when the Red Hot Chili Peppers retire? On the plus side, it's cool to see stuff like Autolux and City and Colour. Is Third Eye Blind a typo?

oh I agree..
Nothing really exciting in that lineup….well maybe just Vince Staples and MØ
I would go - it looks fun.  The one Lollapalooza (2009) I went to was a blast.
i would totally go to that.  one of their better lineups in a while.  checks a lot of boxes: big names, good undercard, some bands i've wanted to check out but can't bring myself to dedicate a whole night to, etc.  i've been to lolla 5 (?) times and always had fun.
I find it amusing that the founding band and catalyst for lollapalooza is billed 10th

I remember the first one like it was yesterday, World Theatre, Tinley Park IL. Can't believe it's been 25 years.
I think there are some really interesting acts, I think it's a good line up
and Lucy dacus of course :)
LDR is really the only Headliner that I am itching to see

I pay to see at least 20 of lower case bands at the club or Ust
but I hate festivals, so I'm a bad person to ask
yeah it was fun until 2010 or so when they increased the capacity to half a million people.

I've got a conference in Chicago that starts the last day of Lollapalooza. I'm fearing what a shitshow Chicago will be that day…

OK.

Junglepussy is not a band.  She is a solo artist.

Anybody else going to Hopscotch (minus Vas, we are going together)?

I am digging the artists in the lineup that I know, and looking forward to seeing some random stuff too.

The artists I am looking forward to based off of the current lineup:

I'm definately going. Last year was pretty awesome. Excited to see William Basinski (guy almost never tours), Television, Wolf Parade, and Wye Oak
The last and only when I went to was 2013 and I had a great time.  I'm really looking forward to this one.
