perfect typo.

I can not recommend Hopscotch highly enough. Those of you who hate festivals would really like it.

As a citizen of Raleigh I can concur.  It's a great event.  Not even like a festival really.  Ton's of good venues of all sizes, all within a 10 or so minute walk from each other.  I love my little city.

Then there are the day parties which aren't really part of the festival proper…free shows all afternoon at about a 1/2 dozen downtown venues.
it's good on paper but lots of conflicts compared to other festivals…

Vas is definitely the Debbie downer of the board
Riot Fest
is it just me…doesn't it seem odd that Blink 182 is one of the headliners?
and why can DC get something like this…what an insane line up, easily 25 bands I would pay to see

So I guess the plan is quit the job end of Aug and forget my family…then do hopscotch followed by riot fest

not really, based on my understanding of the current scene.  for the past few years, i've only ever seen b-182 headline shows and festivals.  i never got into them but apparently they have a huge following.

Didn't Blink-182 have to ditch out of Riot Fest last year?    This booking, then, is just a make-good.
Still not addressing the core question but at least explaining why, even after another year passes, that they are headlining
Stephen Hyden tried to peel back the onion that is the mystery of Blink-182's enduring popularity with some success a few years ago. Although, I am amazed they continue to be this popular sans one of the original members.
there is a great line in that article that nailed the 930 forum

while a handful of embittered dorks on a message board somewhere bicker about their favorite Iceage songs.

closes out with a gem too
As their fans age, Blink’s ability to overcharge for tickets at sprawling arena shows increases, as does the intensity of their fans seeking to reconnect with their rapidly disappearing younger selves. Is singing “Fuck a Dog” when you’re in your 40s any weirder than the Beach Boys singing “Surfin’ USA” in their 70s? We’re about to find out.

They headlined RiotFest Chicago in 2013 (jeezus, did I love that festival): and were very bad then; and may've had their original members.

That's fucking brilliant.  That tour shoulda had Lizzo instead of the Blink-52s
Primavera coming to the states (on the wrong coast!)
Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, one of Europe’s largest and longest running festivals, has announced their new edition taking place in Los Angeles, Sept. 19-20, 2020!

The festival will be celebrating their 20th anniversary in Los Angeles Sate Historic Park and a limited amount of Early Bird tickets will be released on June 7th, 2019 at 9:00am PST

The million dollar question is will Pavement be playing.
I read they're only doing Barcelona and Porto next year.
