Just Announced: The Non-Mid-Atlantic & Non-NYC Edition

what are the chances that neil young cancels the ukraine show?

Although am not sure Sweets wants to travel to a war torn country to see Neil Young.

i'd love to see Neil live (haven't seen him yet), and i would happily visit ukraine.  media portrays it as "a war-torn country" because that attracts eyeballs more than reality.  as long as you stay 100 km from the frontlines, your only concerns are iranian drones and rooskiy missiles - and there's an app for that.  we would of course need to turn this adventure into a fundraiser - i say we go for a charity that supports vets who are in physical rehab/need artificial limbs (or one that buys drones for the boys on the frontline).

i wish.  maybe they could use me as an IT guy, or a cook, but i'd need months and month to get into shape ("get back to my fighting weight", har har)

certainly not zero.  i think that the show proceeding would have to depend on the security situation at the time.  i mean, up until the show starts, it could be canned.  that app i mentioned above warns when drones and missiles are incoming.  imagine being in your seat, ready for the show to start, super amped, and your phone tells you that you have incoming.  time to head to the closest shelter, sorry neil…

that being said, while the ruzzia has bombed public gatherings before (worse case, IMO: dropped a missile on a soldier's funeral in a small village, 52 killed, mostly his family, many more wounded), even they have to be smart enough to not target the show of an international star.  the ruzzia is in fact a terrorist state, but even they must want to avoid that heat.  yes, i am implying that the ruzzia has a few more brain cells than ISIS (RE: ariana @ manchester).

I could get behind this, as long as we can find one who would actually want to go.
