hobo rock.

I wish the NO Jazz fest did a lolapaloza style tour where they brought it around the country…really the best music fest IMO
Let me guess

On the National mall five minutes from your house and under $50?

Yeah….that seems doable
Hey, if they did line ups like this I'd reconsider my no-fests stance

I'm just not going to pay $150 to Haim, St Vincent and Beach Bunny and a 90 min drive, sorry

not sure why you're being so negative…I said it was a great fest and think it should go around the country
it's a fucking national treasure and all humans should be exposed to that much good music
Now it is a two long weekend festval…so there is that to consider
I love jazz fest but the whole point is it’s in New Orleans… you go to New Orleans for jazz fest and the food and ambiance and culture

But it’s stupid to complain about how much you want an area festival, oh why can’t we have an area festival and then when you get an area festival complain about the location not being your preferred spot across the bridge from you and the price point…kind of have to support area festivals if you want area festivals… you just come off as entitled bro

Reminds me of people complaining about Virgin Freefest!

If the New Orleans jazz fest came to DC at the price point needed to make it work you would bitch about that …I mean have you given this any thought?!? How would local New Orleans brass bands, Mardi Gras Indians be paid to travel around the country?!? What do you think the demand is for these acts? Do you understand big name acts like to play jazz fest cause it’s IN New Orleans and they love being there, supporting the city, etc
the new 24hourpartypooper has arrived
You’ve been here a while….

Beach Road Weekend 2022

Next summer’s lineup will be headlined by Beck, Wilco, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, the Avett Brothers, Aoife O’Donovan, Billy Strings and Khruangbin.
French Quarter Fest takes place right in the French Quarter (obvious right) and is free.  Been to 3 of them and they are a lot of fun.
for smackie:
