he very recently said he wanted to do more shows, and he had the energy/health/etc to do shows - it was the pace of touring and constant traveling that he couldn't handle. so doing a one-off show where he can be taken care of (and paid big bucks for) is feasible.
i'm contemplating the possibility of potentially considering the theoretical option of attending this show… looked into flights and hotels last night, still pretty cheap for now.
I would only consider it if every band was required to do a Power Trip cover out of respect.

you know what isn't cheap? a ticket to this show - not that i expected it to be, that big a lineup is going to command a big fee.
a 3-day GA ticket is $599 + fees, steep but understandable IMO. silly ol' me assumed this was going to be set up like Coachella, an all-GA festival.
then i saw something about reserved floor and grandstand seats:
P5 $799 + fees
P4 $999 + fees
P3 $1,099 + fees
P2 $1,399 + fees
P1 $1,599 + fees

so that $600+ ticket gets you to the back of the venue, the equivalent of a lawn ticket. gonna cost closer to $2k to get to the front. by my count, there are 120 rows of seats, plus the pit and alleys, between the stage and GA… bring binoculars.
The terrible perspective of that chart is giving me vertigo.
lol. hadn't occurred to me initially, but now that you've pointed it out i feel like i'm going to fall into it… having an Inception moment.

Dave pulling two paychecks for one fest
I think it's lame that Ween didn't make it to the top row
I've never even heard of the turnpike troubadours and it seems like their heyday was 2011

Their highest charting albums were their two most recent, in 2015 and 2017. I guess that mean their heyday wasn't 2011.

Has Ween had two albums in the top 20 that recently?

^^bases festival attendance and popularity on album sales^^

Ween my not have chart-topping records, they can sell out Red rocks multiple nights.
Maybe the troubadours can too, still no idea

They're headlining a little venue called Cap One Arena on May 5. That's not too shabby. Was Ween booked there?

Other than the fact that little venue show was cancelled due to god awful ticket sales. Get your facts straight, Space.
