Just Announced: The Non-Mid-Atlantic & Non-NYC Edition

Of course they skip dc

The descendents, The Circle Jerks and The Adolescents

4.06 | The National - Richmond, VA
4.07 | Rams Head Live - Baltimore, MD
Punk is one genre I am a bit ageist about….

Am glad Milo is ok but when I saw the Descendents about six years ago in Baltimore (RHL) it didn’t do much for me.
first show in 4 years:

Hope this means Ann and Nancy patched things up as much as is possible…

just read an interview with nancy, she says that a mountain has been made of a molehill and that things were (supposedly) never that bad between them - revisionism, possibly… she said that the biggest obstacle now is that they disagree on the direction of the band.  they managed to agree enough to get it together for a hometown NYE show.

these bands sometimes are so funny 'with the direction of the band"
come on now, play the hits, they haven't penned something memorable since the 80s
It’s all bullshit.

Of course Nancy is going to downplay the “rift” - need to sell tickets-but she had Ann’s husband arrested for assaulting her kids. Hard to come back from that….

i wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly the rift: one side wants to play the hits and rake in the easy cash; while the other side is optimistic/delusional and thinks they can still capture lightning in a bottle (40 after they last successfully did it…)
They should do a full on Zep show

It’s a bummer Page never toured with Ann

i would so attend such a show.  no one covers Battle of Evermore like those two…

agreed
So Heart should pull a Feelies and do an all-Zep live album?
LCD Soundsystem, with Peaches and 2ManyDJs

Really feel like they could list John Darnielle and people would know who that is
At least at a noisepop fest (which is one of my favorites)

True, but now it’s listed as the mountain goats (solo)
Dr. Dog…

Their wallets must've dried up quickly.

Nominee for the worst festival lineup ever.

Miranda Lambert is great and Hank Jr. might be fun in a kitschy way. Don't know any of the acts on the bill following Uncle Kraker.
Nelly seems like an odd add?
also the one time skipping the DMV is OK with Me
