Just Announced: The Non-Mid-Atlantic & Non-NYC Edition

Travis are playing The Man Who in full throughout Europe.  I hope this tour finds its way to D.C. (Lincoln Theatre, I presume) later in the year.
Social Distortion announced a summer tour
Van Morrison
9/11
Blue Hills Bank Pavilion (Boston)

A D.C.-area show would be great.

No idea??? I'd guarantee if Ween played the club it would sell out.

Seth…are you out there…
if wiener and deaner played the club, and it did not sell out . . . would that be the end of this area for them.  i used to know quite a few people that loved ween and followed them up until the split, 'round here.  I don't really know a lot of younger people that know them or listen to them in my area, or would go see them in the 'city.
Ween is not interested in playing the club…basically they are in it for the money…for gener I think he does it cause he has to…they are now more popular elsewhere so play bigger places  Elsewhere where they make more money

It’s pretty clear gener wants to play as few shows as possible for the most money possible…

I just can’t figure out where they lost their local crowd…this used to be one of their core areas…now it’s an afterthought

Side hatch and I had a conversation about just this topic at Yums after deaners show…

Was pretty funny that you rolled in there too
I never go there any more, but remained me back in the 90's (at the other yums up the street) when it was sketchy as shit on 14th and there was the bulletproof glass and turntable to pay them
Never go there anymore
???

Suuuuuuuure
no lie, first time at yums since early 2000's
The three piece fried chicken costs more than double and now it’s just three wings!

Used to be 3.25….want to say with drink but not sure…now it’s like $9

I was in philly last week for a few days…they still have $4 beers at restaurants
I also took about a ten year break from eating at yums….no really
1st round of Riot Fest Chicago acts announced next Wed May 30
initial Le Guess Who?  lineup announced…..don't know half the bands
I can only hope this means some Robbie Williams warm up shows…

I would be at a Robbie Williams @ The Anthem show in a heartbeat.
