Bonobo's live show is fantastic; not to be missed.
I've seen Bonobo live twice in the UK, and in April I went up to New York to catch one of the two Bonobo live shows there. Afterward I was a little sorry that I hadn't taken an additional day off from work and caught the second show as well.

My work blocks both of these pages… I see from the flyer (http://gallery.mailchimp.com/ab023a41e407cd7118df7fcf6/images/schedule600.jpg) in Sweetcell's post that the festival is Fri. 10/29 through Sun. 10/31, but what's the festival location?
Ashville NC ;D not too bad of a drive for me
I think I might go just for Massive Attack, we'll see but they added some more bands and looks to be pretty good ;D

"All Tomorrow's Parties have done a pretty amazing job lining up important, iconic bands to curate their festivals, and they've just scored another one.

Alongside Animal Collective themselves, the bill will feature Gang Gang Dance, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Broadcast, Black Dice,

Man…Would love to see another Alan/Rick Bishop set. That BC backstage show in '08 was easily top 5 of the year for me.

you were especially lucky having had the luxury of wearing the ashes of the former drummer.
maybe even a taste?
maybe even a taste?
That was awesome. And disturbing.
No, no taste. I probably would have puked up a lung right there.
Most underrated band in the history of forever.

^ Ohhhh, Dragontears who just happened to be playing at the very moment that I read that post. Very cool Scandanavian Psychedelica.
Alcest is very good too except that Neige needs to take all the horrid demonic singing out of his work that he used in the last release. Once he excorsizes that out, he'll sound nice and angelic again.

The SPACEMEN 3 & SPIRITUALIZED party - Benefit for Natty Brooker
The Piston - 937 Bloor St. W. (Toronto, Canada)
Saturday, December 4 at 10:00pm - December 5 at 3:00am
On Saturday, Dec. 4th… I, along with the help & support of my good pal Will Carruthers (former bass player for both Spacemen 3 & Spiritualized) and a whole load of great Toronto bands… will be putting on a special live rock & roll tribute to the music and legacy of SPACEMEN 3 & SPIRITUALIZED.
But this show is not your average tribute show… this show is also acting as a benefit show for NATTY BROOKER.
Natty Brooker, if you ar…e unaware… was the drummer for Spacemen 3, and was also the artist responsible for much of the bands artwork and overall aesthetic. Natty introduced founding members Pete Kember and Jason Pierce (aka J.Spaceman and Sonic Boom) to blues and gospel; he played drums on the first Spacemen 3 album Sound of Confusion; and also appeared on the classic demos release Taking Drugs to Make Music to Take Drugs To.
It was Natty's iconic Devil and Angel design that adorned the first Spiritualized album cover "Lazer Guided Melodies" and it was his endlessly recurring threes that graced the last Spacemen 3 album "Recurring".
Sadly, Natty has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is down on his financial luck at the moment (those Spacemen 3 royalties just don't pay the bills..! plus he has been unable to work). SO… we thought it would be an amazing thing for people who have gained so much from the music he was involved in making… to give a little something back, and make Natty's holiday season all that much brighter!
The show will feature the mother-load of outstanding, talented bands/musicians from Toronto…all of whom will be playing their personal favourite tracks by Spacemen 3 & Spritualized. We will also have DJ's spinning rare, unreleased, crazy versions of their stuff too.
100% of the profits from the show will be go directly to Natty (show is by donation or pay what you can).
In addition to the music… Will Carruthers has also arranged to have some of Natty's signed and numbered limited edition prints at the show (on display and for sale) as well as some other goodies.
Here is the sensational line-up of bands playing this party:
Speedway (reunited for this show!!!)
Flowers Of Hell
The Hoa Hoas
The Pow Wows
The Blooming Rosebuds
Drunk Woman
The Disraelis
Ostrich Tuning
The Auras
The Mighty Oaks
Proof of Ghosts
Panamarama
Hollowphonic
Make Joy Cry
The Orange Near
Plus a few surprises!!!
