I would say anyone going to see her hopefully is doing so out of love - to be in her presence-and not expecting much in terms of performance.  As far as playing live for Joni, it might be an attempt to aid her recuperation but I don’t know the particulars.

I saw her in the late 90s -twice- and it wasn’t the show I was hoping to see which would have been her solo circa Blue era. How could it be? I just never got into her jazzier mid to late 70s stuff that so many rave about.

let me be the first to recommend Bluey (if you haven't discovered it yet). Quite possibly the best family show in the history of family shows… legit hilarious.
