Orioles....part 2?

Orioles manager Buck Showalter recently played golf with Chris Davis in Texas, and the first baseman revealed that he's received a therapeutic use exemption for Adderall for the 2015 season.

Major League Baseball suspended Davis for 25 games on Sept. 12 following a second failed test for the drug. Davis apparently had the exception with the Rangers, but was denied with the Orioles.

Buck just told 105.7 The Fan that Chris Davis got approved "for what he got suspended for" #adderall

He did.   But it was two season previous.  He lost that approval and admitted as such:

"I made a mistake taking Adderall.  I had permission in the past, but I don't now." - Chris Davis, Sept 12, 2014.

Or is Buck saying that he has been re-approved?  Because if so, this is becoming a joke.

I think he's saying he now has a current, valid approval.
Jesus.  Then I hope he hits 50 HR's again…

This would completely change around a lot of people's feelings on where the line is between therapeutic and preforming enhancing drugs.

Exactly.
Are the Rockies and Mariners allowed to smoke dope yet?

The Supersonics deserve to return to Seattle.  Free Agent Bonanza!
The Orioles sign Delmon Young,  pending physical.
@ken_rosenthal Sources: #Orioles, #BlueJays have discussed compensation package that O?s would require for allowing GM Dan Duquette to become Jays CEO.

Apparently, the O's would like him to leave.

@ken_rosenthal Duquette under contract with #Orioles through 2018. As I?ve previously reported, some O?s  people want him to go. Uncomfortable situation.
you could not be more right..sources are telling me he has a problem with BO….very un-comfortable to be around…

Death from above will never live this down….

BOOM!
Chris Davis hits .196, gets suspended, and still gets a 16.5% raise.

Isn't arbitration great?!
EDIT: Wrong thread.
Dan Connolly of the Sun:

I get the sentiment, but he's comparing only guaranteed money and using two guys who are yet unsigned as $0, which is disingenuous.

Rios is $23m ($11m this year, mutual option for $12.5 for next year)
Hunter is $10.5m
Aoki is $12.5m ($4m this year plus incentives,  team/mutual option for 2016 at $5m for a max of $12.5)
Rasmus - his deal could be anywhere from $7.5m/YAA over 4 to $12.5m on a one year deal because he's such a wild card, but I think he'll be guaranteed something close to three years, $10m annually.
Ichiro - someone is going to give him $4-$5m.

So realistically, those guys will be $50-90m depending on options and what Rasmus signs for, but either way, still a bad deal for Atlanta.

O's trade Duquette for RHP Jeff Hoffman, or so the hot rumor goes.
Some good O's news would be nice. I haven't been this depressed since the start of the 2012 season.

Anyone going to fanfest next weekend? I'm not going to the convention center, but I'll be in the dugout putting out some good baseball thoughts for the start of the season.

The Blue Jays can't trade Hoffman now, per MLB rules, because a full year hasn't passed since he was drafted. However, he could be a player to be named later.

The Orioles apparently want more.
