Orioles....part 2?

agreed.

It's starting to look pathetic.  And I'm an eternal Orioles dreamer.

2 years 12 million dollars.  You know when the Rays are outspending you, you have money spending issues.

Oakland agreeing to pay JJ wasn't sign enough for you?

The Orioles offered him $14M before the physical.

Then they got buyers remorse and backed out.  It is not like the Orioles have signed anyone else other than minor league type guys.  The rumor is the Orioles are interested in Rodney.  I guess because no one else is interested in him.  Typical bad Oriole signing.
Jonah Keri on the O's

The MASN discussion was a fantastic one, BTW.
Rodney to the Mariners, 2 years $14m.

Good read.  Keri was just on the local CBS sports radio show in Baltimore.  He's got a book coming out next year on the Expos - was a lifelong fan.

Looks like some of these asking prices for starting pitching - Arroyo, Burnett, Jimenez - are decreasing now.  Maybe Duquette knows what he's doing after all.

yeah I never liked that guy.  And Angelos never liked a pitcher making 7 million a year.
There's no way Ervin Santana's elbow passes an Orioles physical.  Don't even bother…
Yoon, huh?  We shall see.
Sure hope he doesn't suk.

Supposedly, it's a 3-year, $5.725 million deal laden with incentives.  If that's true, then it's a great deal no matter what happens.

Also, pending a physical, and he had a shoulder issue last season.
As long as he doesn't turn out to be this year's Wada.

I still can't believe the Phillies gave Burnett $16M for one year.

This is a great deal, if the starts are managed properly.

According to an industry source, Yoon will receive a $675,000 signing bonus and $750,000 in base salary in 2014. He will make $1.75 million in 2015 and $2.4 million in 2016. The deal also includes performance bonuses based on games started that could push the total value of the deal to $13 million.

Flush with TV cash and panicked at the news of Cole Hamels, they rushed this for sure.
Jimenez - 4 years $48M is the rumor.  Could get done tonight.
